    : 橙红色有光泽结晶颗粒或粉末。味苦。不吸湿或潮解(不同于重铬酸钠)。能溶于10份冷水或1.25份热水，不溶于乙醇， 水溶液呈酸性反应。强热约500℃时分解为氧化铬和铬酸钾。在盐酸中冷时不起作用，热时则发生氯气。有强氧化性，与有机物摩擦或撞击会引起燃烧。有毒，最小致死量(兔，皮下)10mg/kg。经流行病学调查表明，对人有潜在致癌危险性。
